Lummen

Lummen est une commune néerlandophone de Belgique située en Région flamande dans la province de Limbourg. Sa population totale est d’environ 13 500 habitants pour une superficie totale de Modèle:Unité. Le hameau de Genenbos fait partie de l'entité de Lummen.

Lummen est connue pour son échangeur autoroutier reliant les autoroutes E 313 et E 314.

Toponymie

Le village a aussi été connu sous le nom de Lumey<ref name="persee">Modèle:Article</ref> et Lumain.

Géographie

Lummen se situe dans la région de la Campine. Son sous-sol est donc sablonneux.
