Synopsis

Les péripéties amoureuses d'une famille new-yorkaise de Park Avenue racontées par la jeune Djona, dite « D. J. » (Natasha Lyonne), sur fond de standards américains.

Holden (Edward Norton) aime Skylar (Drew Barrymore) mais celle-ci aspire à plus d'aventures et tombe dans les bras de Charles Ferry (Tim Roth), un dangereux repris de justice secouru « naïvement » par Steffi Danridge (Goldie Hawn). De son côté, Joe Berlin (Woody Allen), l'ex de Steffi, va d'histoire en histoire sans jamais retrouver l'âme sœur. Par l'entremise de sa fille D.J., Joe va faire la connaissance de Von (Julia Roberts) à Venise et la séduire par des moyens peu conventionnels.
