Sivry-Rance (en picard Chevri-Rance) est une commune francophone de Belgique située en Région wallonne dans la province de Hainaut. Les premières mentions datent du Modèle:S mini- siècleModèle:Vérification siècle sous le nom latin de "Suuriacum" (Superiacus) signifiant Propriété ou Habitation sur une terre élevée, ou du Gallo-Romain "Superius" ayant la même signification.
Sivry-Rance est limitrophe des communes wallonnes de Beaumont, Chimay et Froidchapelle, ainsi que du département français du Nord.
